This year, the State Scorecard reports on performance differences within states associated with people's income levels in 19 of the 49 indicators where data is available to support an analysis of the population by income; these indicators cover four of the five dimensions. For most indicators, we measure the difference between the rates of a state's low-income population (usually less than 200% of the federal poverty level) and those of the higher-income population (usually more than 400% of the federal poverty level).
